Ramanessin Brook, New Jersey Tooth - Croc or Mosasaur?

Found this tooth in Ramanessin in Holmdel, NJ. It is about 1.4" long, and it is missing about 1/4 of the top. There are striations along the entire length on all sides, and the top of the tooth has a very faint slightly raised line, but not to the extent of the Mosasaur teeth that I've found previously, so I'm leaning towards it being a Crocodile tooth, or possibly some other species.

I figured I would ask for some opinions, since I am far from an expert. Thanks in advance for any input.

Nice! Looks like a plesiosaur tooth with some root attached.

Thanks for the help guys! I figured it may be something else, because it looked to long and thin to be a croc. Going to have to get back there this weekend and do some sifting in the area where I found this.
