JamieLynn
Howdy all! Here are a few things I found on the Peace River in Florida that I am not sure what they are. Any help would be appreciated! 1. This may or may not be anything: But is so oddly symetrically shaped that I think it must be SOMETHING: 2. A knee cap of something? 3. I thought it was bone, but the striations are odd and there are rings on the end: 4. Is this an Alligator tooth? 5. I have no idea what the heck this is: 1 www.fossil-quest.com

PODIGGER
Just back from a weekend trip and first chance to look at the site. The only one I would hazard a guess on is #3. Based on the rings on the end and how solid it looks I would think it is Dugong. I wouldn't think #4 is alligator due to the shape. Alligator teeth are more conical and have two seam like striations along opposite sides of the tooth.
