sorry, not seeing any fossils there.

If you want to stretch the definition of fossil a bit. The dark spots look like they could be an iron sulfur mineral. Sometimes a waste product of anaerobic bacteria.

Hi Becky,

 

I've been following your posts and am thinking that you might benefit in pursuit of your interest in fossils from some of the following suggested sites.  They are intended to put you on "local" sites known to produce fossils and "local" groups (depending on where in Ohio you live) to hunt with and gain experience from.  They are NOT intended to replace your participation in TFF, but rather to augment it.  Hope these help.
