Any ideas what this might be?

This fossil is from Poland I was told it looks like a piece of a skull cap mixed in with these plant fossils any ideas?

It doesn't appear to be a body fossil. So the dimples of such a bone would be expressed as bumps on the mold.

Being in context with stigmaria, I wonder if it represents a paleosol surface.

A mold of the carapace of a large arthropod (eurypterid) comes to mind, but I can't see any structure, articulation or symmetry that would lead an id in that direction.

Context is critical.
