California fossil hunting trip

We finished our trip to California just over a week ago.  We stop at Jalama Beach but found no fish.  I only found these 2 fossils but do not know what they are.

Our next stop is Carmel valley for crabs and I love this place.  I found quite a few crabs in a short time there.

After Carmel Valley we drove to Santa Cruz for lunch then visit Capitola Beach.  I love this place so much it is just like a museum and it is in nature.  I hope I live close to this area.

I think the first two are fish bones.

Love the Pinnixa crabs.

And the last picture of all those vertebrae! Wow!

Great finds and thanks for sharing. :)

Our last stop is Ernst Quarries, I was hoping for large teeth but only found tiny teeth so I am not very impressed but still have a great time here.

Besides fossil, we visit Solvang, Big Sur, Carmel By the Sea, and there are beautiful Almond farm near Ernst Quarries.  The scenery are breathtaking.

Yes Adam is correct,  these two are spectacular Jalama fish specimens.

I hope they are fish too but they didn't look anything like fish.

I love the crabs so much and I feel so lucky.  I found the first full crab just a first few minutes.  I hope I can comeback often.

I believe the fish bloat and explode into almost unrecognizable form.

The matrix I find my crabs in breaks like safety glass so it is difficult to find a whole specimen.  I have yet to get a complete crab on one piece.
