tooth or what ?

Hi, some years ago i inherited this lion tooth (or hyena ?). As i broke it when i desengaged it from its matrix, i kept the matrix without touching it until now. I knew it had something else inside.

today i desengaged it and found this.

It doesn't have the color of the tooth it was with, so, i wonder what it is : another tooth or maybe concretion ?

I think so. I wonder what kind of concretion this could be. It doesn't fizz at all with vinegar.

I think it's full of some kind of fossil, or fragments. Suppose we might even summons the poop squad ?

In the matrix there are fragments of maybe bones that broke easily.

In this photo it looks like it could be coprolites. The tooth was in the same matrix? Did you happen to take a photo of it when it was still in the matrix?

No, i have no photo when still in the matrix.

At this time my brother-in-law was fond of fossils so i showed him the tooth in the matrix and he advised to me to put all in water. The tooth broke in two pieces i tried to glue back and in smallest ones. The matrix broke in three pieces and a part of it went away with water.

Here are what i kept, you'll see that there is a piece of the tooth with it that i was unable to glue at the right place, so i just kept it with the matrix.

You'll also see a bit of what might be bone and other fragments still taken in the matrix.

When i found it, the tooth was just stuck on one side (a side was entirely visible). When i put it in a vertical position like on the photo above, the other piece i could feel was in an almost horizontal position. They nearly touched each other.

In a way I hope it didn't accomplish the goal.

If it did the details aren't as convincing as I thought.
