Big White River Vertebra - What is it?

My stepson Josh found this today while hunting in the White River Formation (Colorado) - it's a big vertebra that was sticking out of a hillside.

 

This formation is Eocene-Oligocene.

 

Can anyone help ID this?

Did not realize these were so long. Check out Bison.

It does closely resemble the one in the last photo. I think that might be a match. I think bison are endemic to that general area? If so, it fits.
