fossil_sea_urchin
Hi, I brought this bone from the Bathonian of Oxfordshire. I suspected it was crocodile or dinosaur. It would be nice to hear some opinions on this specimen.
Pterygotus
I’m not sure if it would be possible to tell. However I’m no expert. @Troodon
Troodon
Yep it's a bone about all I can say.
dinosaur man
Like Troodon said, it’s a bone, but to fragmentary to tell of what animal.

Although near to impossible, am I right in saying this bone could have have come from a Megalosaurus bucklandi. I was especially interested in this bone because of its Bathonian locality, which is quite hard to find in Oxfordshire. I will contact the seller to see if I can track the precise locality down and will gather as much information as I can on the specimen.
Troodon
Highly unlikely but never impossible. If I understand right its is primarily a marine deposit.

Yes, I believe it was a shallow ocean, correct me if I'm wrong. That's was the reason I thought crocodile because I see lots of that material from around that area, but it could just as well be an Ichthyosaur or a Plesiosaur.
