Partial ocean sunfish beak? Or what?

A friend found this bone on the shores of the Potomac River in Virginia... mostly miocene marine fauna. Closest we could find was a picture of an ocean sunfish beak from the Calvert cliffs.. but we are eager to hear what others might think? Thanks!

possibly a hypeural but local experts will know for sure

The specimen doesn't look like an ocean sunfish beak to me.  My first impression was a fish hypural also.  Below is a picture of an ocean sunfish beak.

Guess I missed this post earlier, but here for comparison are several hypurals from my collection.

The top one has a broken/missing urostyle and is from a bill fish.

The lower three are tuna hypurals with the urostyles intact.
