Digging through some bags of bones, looking for something to work on during the virus crisis. Glued the pieces I and collected and this is what I have. I believe this was collected in Wyoming, near Newcastle. What is it? I think it is Theropod, possibly a partial pubis bone. 10.5inches long, 1.5 inch flat bottom, approx 1 inch depth  large marrow pores.

Yup, that looks like a rib.

Newcastle Wyoming has Lance formation. Not sure if there are any other notable deposits there.

But if it's Lance formation then you'd be likely looking at the rib of a medium to large dinosaur. T.rex, Triceratops or Edmontosaurus would be the most likely candidates.

Ribs are hard to ID and even more so if they are fragmentary like this one. But that being said it's not really giving me a theropod feeling.

Nice piece.

I would say it’s an Edmontosaurus rib like Troodon said, it look that it came from the end of the tail.

Definitley a rib.  Almost certainly Lance Fm.  Ribs are tough to ID but I feel hadrosaur on this one.

"...end of the tail"?  there are no ribs at the end of the tail....

Thanks for all the replies, I was hoping it was Theropod. Bone structure and the way it has fractured made me lean toward Theropod bone
