Ripple marks or something else?

Found this on my phone from two years ago not sure what i am supposed to be looking at? Threw water on it for some reason. Whole rock is about a foot long.

Looks a bit more like treebark, to me. :headscratch: Wait for some more opinions, though. 

I think ripple marks are usually more uniform and larger, than this.

I’m also not seeing ripple marks here. Not sure about tree bark, I’m not even sure what I’m looking at tbh. 
 

If it’s Devonian this rules out the possibility of anything Dino sadly.:(

It isn't tree bark, The only trees in the Devonian wre Lycopods, this doesn't look like Lycopod bark.

Yeah and this area was shallow sea. Mostly corals.

My 4 year old thinks it is slime. Could it be an algae bed lol. I think we need a geologist.

Not ripples, possibly microbially induced sedimentary structure as found in algal mats.

Yes, could be Kinneyia marks, but could be tectonically induced structures, too. You may post a close up of the structures?

Its buried under 3 feet of snow in a Territorial park.
