Maybe a coral or something else?

I picked these up on my last fossil hunt. They were found in west Michigan too. I’ve never found something like those before and thought they might be some kind of coral but I don’t what from. I can’t find anything that looks like it either so any help would be great!

How neat!  Those are conularids, pretty rare fossils from my experience.  Congratulations.

Yep, Conularids, odd extinct relatives of corals and jellyfish.  Rarity depends on where you are. Others more familiar with Michigan fauna may tell us how rare/abundant they are up your way.

Cool specimens either way.

Much better than a chunk of coral!
