Recommended Posts

The Mazon Creek deposit records one of the best representations of Pennsylvanian aged millipedes.

A variety of different types have been found representing several different orders.

This is one of the rarer and lesser known types belonging to a relatively new order named Pleurojulida.

Pleurojulus lacks spines and has body segments that consist of an upper and lower plate.

It is one of the smallest millipedes that can be found in the Mazon Creek deposit.
