Does anyone recognize this matrix?

I received this sand matrix from a forum member a few years ago. Unfortunately, I don't remember who I got it from. I believe it is from the southeast coast of the U.S. It doesn't contain a lot of fossils, but it sure is pretty. I have found a couple items of interest. I think the pink sand is garnet, but I'm not sure. The field of vision in the image is 1 cm.

Don't know where it is from but it has a Cretaceous tooth in it. The tooth is Ptychotrygon.

Yup. I spotted that as well. The pink garnet makes a change from the black & white (phosphate & shell hash) matrix here in Florida.

Cheers.

I was wondering about that. Thank you! Any idea what the little black ovoids are?

I find a lot of similar ones and I think they are just phosphatic pellets but it is possible they are phosphatic replacement of some type of fossil or possibly a steinkern. The ones I find are very smooth.
