Trilobite finds

Good morning all!  A couple successful days of collecting and to my amazement, two trilobite pygidiums!. My amateurish guess is Ameura missourensis? It was found in Kansas City in a Winterset limestone outcropping. When I looked closer, there is something I thought could be part of the cephalon or some other fossil in the second photo about 12:00? Not sure if I should pursue cleaning it (and don't know how :) )-thoughts appreciated!  Bone

Sounds likely to me that these are Ameura

We would need a better picture of the second item in Pic 2 to say anything further about that.

Have a look at this Topic.

Not sure there is much more to clean here.

You could try to remove some matrix from around the pygidiums, I suppose.

I would use a dental pic, engraver, or scriber.

I mean above the second pydigium-there is a cobbled appearance with some matrix between it and the "bite"? Could I clean that and maybe its another portion of a trilobite/this one?  Its not in your pic but in my original post pic there's something there?.....Thanks again!!   Bone

It's possible there might be more above the pygidium, but I don't think the picture is clear enough to tell. You can try gently probing in the matrix around there and see if more cleans off, though.
