Bonehunter
And lastly the large, 13lb section of wood, found not associated with any layers- found in the little blue river of Kansas City last week. very dense for its size. I understand this may not be speciated but pretty none-the-less! And not to stri the pot, but I've read some articles stating that mineralization can happen very fast, and some "petrified wood" could only be a hundred years old or less. I would presume there are so many factors that enter into mineralization of wood that only some techniques and carbon dating could help define age? Thanks for looking! Bonehunter
Hmmm- ya know, I can't see the fine mineralization that I do with my other "woods"-so yes maybe it isn't, but then, what is it?........ Thanks! Bone

Bonehunter
Ahhh- streambeds I am very familiar with catching trout-just channeled bedrock?- I can see that, though, nope there's no trout in these waters, but caught some last week further south! Is a silver lining to Covid- able to get out more!!.... stay healthy and thanks for the help! Bone
