Diplomystus dentatus sumi e drawing

After sharing a japanese style sumi e drawing of a Phareodus testis, and getting a lot of great feedback, I decided to draw more fossils.

 

This time I am drawing a Diplomystus dentatus. Picture of the fossil I am going off of is attached.

 

I'll post a picture of the drawing when it's done. Working on it now.

It looks a bit more like a Knightia eocaena, with the thicker brush strokes on the anal fin.

I see what you mean. Those thicker brushstrokes were actually an accident. I accidentally overloaded the brush.

 

Well, at least I drew an extinct fish fossil!
