another cool clam fossil from the creek today

Hi everyone this is matt again today in the creek I found this very cool clam fossil 

in my book it calls it Grammysioidea arcuata 

the description says about it 

 

Transversely elliptical to subovate shell,

with prominently incurved beaks ; anterior and posterior ends rounded. Surface 

with strong , uniform concentric ridges with fine concentric striae.

It is very informative. A great book for learning about New York Devonian fossils. Next to each picture information is given about each fossil as to whether it is from the lower, middle, or upper Devonian. Also from which formations or groups they are found. For $18 it is a deal.
