Cen Tex Shark

Went out Sunday afternoon for about an hour to the Clay Pit in Coleman Co here in central Texas. Found the one tooth about 5 minutes after I got there so was a good five minute hunt about 30 yards from where I parked. The most complete one of these I have found.

I think I see a good candidate for a FOTM entry. ;)

Great looking tooth--so different from the more modern chondrichthyan teeth we find here in Florida.

Cheers.

Thanks Everyone I have not been going hunting very much over the past months so it was good to find something to keep.

Congratulations Tully. Gorgeous specimen, wonderful find. Those Central Texas sites continue to produce wonderful shark material. You're fortunate to be able to collect  it. You're giving me reasons to return. Thanks for sharing.
