Dinosaur to Bird Brain Size Evolution

By measuring endocasts of theropods, ancient and modern birds these researchers traced brain evolution in 2000 different species. Decrease in body size with same size brain led to increased brain:body ratio in modern birds after the K-T event. Work done at Stonybrook and the Bruce museum.

There seem to be some slow progressions toward the genetically modified chickens or 'chickenosaurus': the chicken with longer tail, teeth, and arms with manipulative digits. If biologists do that with the crows and manipulating their genes to increase both their brain size and body size, we might end up with something like 'neo-dinosaur' with human-like intelligence or close and also capable of creating far more advanced tools than a typical crow could.

 

Don't mind me, I just like to speculate on the hypothetical futures, technological breakthroughs and its implications.
