glu Posted April 23, 2020 Share Posted April 23, 2020 This rock is listed as "Ocadia messeliana" fossil turtle from Messel, but is obviously a septarian nodule (you can clearly recognise it by the patterns and by the fact that there isn't a shell). Another good reason for checking here on the forum when you are considering buying a fossil that you don't know very much about. Anyone considering spending money on this "turtle" would have been set straight pretty quickly. Yet another reason why I choose to find my own.
