Bob Saunders Posted April 27, 2020 Share Posted April 27, 2020 The Septarian nodules we find in a limited area here is clay that has hardened into Siderite cracks filled in with calcite. To break one open it will likely come apart in several chunks so I would cut it or leave it whole. I wet wheel grind them and then wet sand the marks out smooth then wheel polish with ZAM. yours will not likely have calcite in it and not considered the same type.
