Rocksalots
Hello- I was told that these strange “rocks” may actually be fossilized coral. They were found well-buried in a clay bank, in the SE US. Any thoughts or confirmation, please? Thank you!
Rockwood
I can't tell you what it is, but I'm pretty sure it's not coral.
Rocksalots
Ok...so any ideas of what it could be? Our soil is pretty acidic, so it’s possible that anything of a calcium composition may be altered considerably... And if they are “just rocks”, what variety of just rocks would they be? Thanks for everyone’s time! Edited May 2, 2020 by Rocksalots
Rockwood
They could possibly be fragments of fossil bone. I'm not at all certain of it though.
