Hi, I am looking for a megalodon expert to help me see restorations on a tooth.

I was told the tooth had minor restorations on the root and rear of the tooth.

Can you tell be these pictures if that is correct and if there are other restorations done?

Thank you for your time

Ok thankyou, I was just worried about buying a tooth with half the root made out of putty.

Looks reasonable. They could have colored the epoxy they used on the root as the pinkish color is a bit distracting. We have members who have taken large megs with really busted up roots and even blade tips and restored them with some epoxy putty, textured the surface properly to blend in and then painted to match the surrounding material. The restorations are really remarkable. If you do purchase this tooth you might consider mixing up some paints trying to match the root color and paint over the pink bits which will make the tooth look much more presentable. ;)

Cheers.
