The discovery of elaphrosaurine noasaurids in Australia further elucidates the distribution of noasaurids in Gondwana during the Berriasian-Albian interval, considering that Elaphrosaurus and Limusaurus were only recently recognized as the oldest and most primitive noasaurids. However, the paper by Poropat et al. isn't the first record of Noasauridae from Australia --- Brougham et al. (2020) identified two theropod specimens from the Griman Creek Formation as belonging to Noasauridae.
