Today’s finds on the ranch

Hey all, poked around on the ranch after a hard rain here in Parker county and found a few things ... no idea what they are (other than the obvious petrified wood) but sharing a few pics in case anyone wants to weigh in

Many appear to be iron concretions.

I just googled that, and yes, I do see the similarities to many of the pieces. Would you say the same for the thin round pieces as well, even though they are more like discs?

Can you take clear close-ups of them?

Here at (hopefully) clearer close ups of the discs, let me know if you want close ups if anything else. There are a few pieces that resemble shells of sea creatures, and then some impressions (I think) that may be a plant or something.

Yeah concretions.  I did see a bullet in the original photos.

Thanks all! Sorry for all the questions but I am just learning here ... are these shiny black and brown rocks (not as heavy as the iron ones)  also concretions? Many have chambers and a leathery-like texture impressed in them.

I'm getting a petrified wood vibe from most, but not sure about the last one. Better wait for those more familiar with the area.

I too see a number of pieces that look like Pet Wood.

I do have a ton of petrified wood I’ve found out and about, some of it I’m huge pieces, some with crystallized sap in it, etc. I suppose these could be more of the same, though they look very different in content and structure, and that would probably explain the “chambers” I am seeing on some of the pieces.
