Huntonia
Real quick, I found this Russian illaenus online, does anyone know what species it is? The seller doesn't say. Also if any of you experts think you could roughly estimate the restoration on the piece (unlikely, I know) that would be helpful too. There's a patch on the pygidium that looks restored to me but the rest looks pretty good to my eye. Thanks in advance.

Kane
The pictures are not clear enough for me to make the distinction, so maybe Scott can pick it out better than me. My initial guess would be I. oblongatus. 2 ...How to Philosophize with a Hammer
Huntonia
Thanks for the help Kane, I really appreciate all the help you've given me since I joined the forum. I. oblungatus looks close to me, though my eyes are still pretty untrained.
piranha
Numerous species of Illaenus have been reclassified with a new name combination: Neoillaenus Krylov 2018 The elongate pygidium is similar to a few species, but if I had to choose I would label it: NeoiIllaenus excellens NeoiIllaenus atavus (Eichwald, 1857) NeoiIllaenus excellens (Holm, 1886) NeoiIllaenus itferensis (Holm, 1886) NeoiIllaenus kukersianus (Holm, 1886) NeoiIllaenus oblongatus (Angelin, 1854) NeoiIllaenus praecurriens (Jaanusson, 1957) Krylov, A.V. 2018 New Data on the Taxonomy and Localites of Ordovician Trilobites (Trilobita: Ptychopariida: Illaenidae, Panderidae) of Leningrad Region.
