Mahnmut
Yes, I quoted, but I meant it. They are really great paintings and thanks for sharing them. And thanks for the flowers. Pagurus
I haven't been doing much painting lately, but I just finished this Knightia for the current rolling auction for the forum. I'm adding it here just for continuity, and maybe someone's interested in seeing it. I painted the fish first, and then found a fossil to add to it. It isn't glued there, I just placed it there because I thought it fit. 2 6 Start the day with a smile and get it over with.

Pagurus
It's been quite awhile since my last Green River fish painting but this week I've been working on some new ones. Here's another attempt at a Knightia, painted with gouache watercolor paints on a 5x7 canvas board that accepts watercolors. I never tried it before but it seems to work ok. 12 Start the day with a smile and get it over with.

Top Trilo
I was so happy when I saw there was an update to this thread. Beautiful painting as always Mike! 1 2 “If fossils are not "boggling" your mind then you are simply not doing it right” -Ken (digit) "No fossil is garbage, it´s just not completely preserved” -Franz (FranzBernhard) "With hammer in hand, the open horizon of time, and dear friends by my side, what can we not accomplish together?" -Kane (Kane) "We are in a way conquering time, reuniting members of a long lost family" -Quincy (Opabinia Blues) "I loved reading the trip reports, I loved the sharing, I loved the educational aspect, I loved the humor. I'm trying to work my way through the Green River formation fish first, though I'm sure I won't paint them all. I've only done two so far, but I'll add more as I paint them. The quality will vary, I'm sure. Here's my take on a Priscacara. and of course a Knightia: I've started on a diplomystus, and will post that soon. Thanks for looking. Oh, for those interested, I'm using gouache paints, similar to watercolor but more opaque.
