Youfoundwaldo
I cleaned it up quite a bit, picked it up thinking the top part of the tooth was a beautiful agate , was not disappointed though!

Harry Pristis
It appears to be bovid alright. It's just strange-looking. Not a common Bos taurus taurus or Bison upper tooth. I wonder what zebu (Bos Taurus indicus) or zebu hybrid teeth look like. There's an off-chance in Minnesota it's a musk-ox (Ovibos) tooth. 2 http://pristis.wix.com/the-demijohn-page What seest thou else In the dark backward and abysm of time? ---Shakespeare, The Tempest
Mark Kmiecik
I think it may be modern bison. There's a wild herd just west of Mankato of about 130 individuals at Minneopa State Park. Mark. Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!
