Woodgrainstone
I recovered these osteoderm fossils from a small gravel mining prospect off the Nueces River in Live Oak county, Texas about 50 miles from Corpus Christi and the Gulf of Mexico. Deweyville Formation fluviatile terrace deposits of Pleistocene to Holocene age. I am thinking giant armadillo, Holmesina, and some kind of crocodile. Thanks for your information, I found these over a decade ago.
Harry Pristis
The last item is 'gator osteoderm. The earlier pieces look like turtle to me. 4 http://pristis.wix.com/the-demijohn-page What seest thou else In the dark backward and abysm of time? ---Shakespeare, The Tempest

garyc
Could that second piece be a fragment of a glyptodon osteoderm?
