Mark K
Hi this is a bone I just repaired originally from Morocco, it was broken into two pieces. Please can I have help to identify it. I am guessing Spinosaurus femur. Its 18 inches long, 2 inch diameter at the smallest point and 3.5 inches diameter at the widest, Thank you
Troodon
Looks like Crocodile femur and given its size could be Elosuchus. Hard to tell with these photos but wonder if the right side has been composited.
Mark K
Thanks Troodon, I was just doing some google searches and it appears to be very similar to a Spinosaurus fibula, could that be a possibility? I don't detect any composite material. I just glues the two halves back together and left the crack unfilled. Thanks for the lead. Much appreciated, Mark
LordTrilobite
Do you have photos of the two ends before you glued it? Because it looks like it was made from 3 different bones. The left part in the photos looks like the head of a femur. But the end on the right looks like part of a tibia. 1 Olof Moleman AKA Lord Trilobite

jnoun11
hi elosuchus , a cleaning with a little bit of acetone will tell what is original and what is composite . The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it. Terry Pratchett ... Troodon
Here is a Croc femur that looks complete and no apparent signs of being composited. Most likely elosuchus.
