We found this in a pond we have dug on the site of an old pond at the juncture between the clay infill and the undisturbed clay under the old pond. depth 1.75m.

Heavy clay with flint and chalk in it

location Suffolk on boulder clay in the bottom of a very shallow valley

I thought it was man made as it was so detailed but my my son and friend think it is a fossil so here are the pictures against a ruler showing inches and centimetersIMG_3408.jpg.1e66e7a6df9c7920a4a405de5959c8f8.jpgIMG_3407.jpg.8a710be83ef773a3b854c8e71ceb623f.jpgIMG_3406.jpg.3382974e581d389a19bbf0047c1a2b70.jpgIMG_3405.jpg.b92e2d6faf9587f1b12e88c4effc7518.jpgIMG_3404.jpg.995b5f8a8318b7e56ee15733f7eb8bf9.jpgIMG_3403.jpg.971fb6ed195019d121dabaf8adc35d91.jpgIMG_3402.jpg.815c9edeea5ed8522401dabc4ca945b4.jpgIMG_3401.jpg.9b9679e52ea22a18d4090c90faa2db39.jpg

The age of this fossil ammonite would also match the vertebra you found as cretaceous or jurasic
