Spinosaur vert

Any thoughts on this? Another vert I'd like to add to my buy list.

From Kem Kem. 17cm long. Dorsal vert.

Is the spinosaur label good, or could it be carcharodontosaur?  Or, croc?

Also, tge brown line down the middle isn't something suspicious  ? Like a sign of restoration?

Yeah, looks like it could be Spinosaurid. Or possibly even identifiable to the genus. Does it have a sharp keel on the bottom? I can't exactly see, but it doesn't look like it has a keel. If it's Spinosaurus aegyptiacus it should not have a keel.

It's not Carcharodontosaurid as that would be much fatter in shape.

Looks like a pretty nice vert.

Awesome. Thanks for looking. I'm glad this one looks good.

The seller has another, so I might well end up getting both. I trust it'll be fine if this is, but I'll put a couple of pics--just to be on safe side, if you could take a look too.

Thanks :)

That first photo that is also shown on the store is inconclusive. But those extra photos are really helpful.

That's definitely a spinosaur caudal vertebra.

It should be situated fairly anterior.

Here's one of mine that's very close in position. Mine is situated slightly forward.

When comparing with the almost complete Spinosaurus tail the vert you posted looks like maybe vert 9 or 10.

Awesome. Thanks very much. I've reserved both verts. I'll add it being vert 9 or 10 to the label too--very interesting to know. :)

Cheers
