Sheared Dinosaur Vertebra

Hi 

 

I acquired this vertebra a few weeks back:

Im not sure if it’s an iguanodon or polacanthus. Time will tell.

 

I thought it was interesting as it appears to have sheared either prior to or after fossilisation.

Amazing vert!  And amazing prep!  Also I looked at the vertebrae from the polacanthus holotype and it looks like it came from a polacanthus!

Thanks. Still a way to go until it’s finished. I think you may be right. I have a few verts that are IDed as iguanodon but I’m convinced they are from a polacanthus.
