Silurian trilobite, Kankakee Illinois

Carl-Lewis

Recommended Posts

Found outside of Vulcan quarry in Kankakee Illinois. Is this a CHERIRURUS NIAGARANSIS? Or a mother type trilobite from Silurian period my area is Silurian for a fact  that I know.

Thanks Scott.  I was hoping that Carl-Lewis would post the info as he posted the figures.

Not familiar with Cherirurus.  Cheirurus rings a bell though.  Also don't know how to tell mother from father trilobites :)

Nice cephalon though.  I hope to be able to collect in that area one day.
