Nice tooth. Was it found near Sherman, Texas?

A slight aside. Does anyone know how big the largest fossil shark tooth is that was found in Texas? I heard that the largest tooth was found in the Eagle Ford/ Atco contact west of Sherman, Texas.

My goal is to leave no stone or fossil unturned.

Just south of Sherman. Atco does seem to produce monsters. I’d like to know the biggest as well. This is my biggest so far.

Beautiful tooth :D Congrats on finding it!

Cretalamna appendiculata? Just training my ID skills ;)

Opalised fossils are the best: a wonderful mix between paleontology and mineralogy!

Q. Where do dinosaurs study?

A. At Khaan Academy!...

Awesome tooth! Looks pathological towards the tip on the last pic

John S.,

You find some great stuff.  That one looks like it has some weight to it.  What is that, 2 - 2 1/4 inches?  The cusplets have a little constriction to them with one of them having an especially distinct tip.  You should add your photos to the Cretodus thread started years ago.
