Wendell Ricketts Posted May 27, 2020 Share Posted May 27, 2020 Do you mean is it a tooth from Otodus megalodon? Do you know anything about the age of the exposure where you found it? So-called white sharks do have serrated teeth, but so do a number of others. To me the proportions of the blade look wrong for O. megalodon, but it's possible. It could be a more recent (but possibly still fossil) white shark. My ID might be a bit premature without knowing the age and formation, but the shape and size resemble a lower tooth from a megalodon or close ancestor. How large is the tooth exactly?
