Paracidarid Echinoid, Texas Cretaceous (My Precious!)

I am proud to introduce my new most prized fossil - Paracidarid Echinoid from the Glen Rose Formation of Texas, Cretaceous.  A.K.A My Precious

 

I've been looking for one of these for YEARS and my new fossil friend from Dallas gifted me this beauty he found in the Texas Hill Country. 

So now, in addition to the segments and partials and spines that i found... I now have a whole one. MY PRECIOUS

Yes indeed. He is an interesting fellow, his main joy is finding the fossils so he usually donates them to museums or gives them away to people he feels will appreciate them....and goodness knows I appreciate this one!!

Thanks John! I did tell him that once I found my own, he could have this one back. But not until I find one myself!! hahahha!! I am willing to rely on the kindness of my fellow hunters for their generosity (which includes a lovely leptosalenia mexicana and a nautiloid from someone I know..... )
