Dinosaur Park Formation - Vertebrate Unknowns

Pronghorn

Recommended Posts

Found in an outcrop of the Dino Park Formation in Alberta.
1. First 4 pics - not sure what this is? It's thick and dense though

2. Next 3 pics - maybe an atlas or axial vertebrae of something?
3. Next 1 pic - scute or turtle shell plate?

4. Next 3 pics - Ceratopsian brow horn?

Interesting, #1 looks like a Theropod postorbital, it also looks very similar to a Tyrannosaur postorbital!  Next #2 looks like a piece of a Hadrosaur or Ceratopsian vertebra.  And not sure about #3, but #4 is definitely a piece of Ceratopsian horn!  Amazing finds!

#3 looks like a spine from a soft shell turtle (trionychid).

#4 corresponds pretty closely to a centrosaurus brow horn.

I think that you should take the first specimen to the Royal Tyrell Museum, really looks like a Tyrannosaur postorbital!
