Shark or bony fish verts?

How do you differ between bony fish vertebrae and shark vertebrae? What about these three vertebrae from Kiowa formation (Albian)?

 

#1: approximately 5.5mm wide and 3mm thick.

 

#2: approximately 5.5mm wide and 2.3mm thick.

 

#3: approximately 4.8mm wide and 2.3mm thick.

Thank you, Troodon! I wonder if these vertebrae belongs to Meristodonoides sp. because of it's small size and Meristodonoides sp. is one of the most, if not the most, common shark species found in Kiowa fm.

I dont know, its very possible but you really need to ask that from someone who is versed on that fauna to determine if there are other species that could fit the bill.

Meristodonoides is a hybodont shark and I believe hybodonts lack vertebral centra.

Interesting, I learned something new! I guess that discount the hybodont shark as a possible suspect. Thanks!

I revisited my specimens and I think it's very much likely shark's. There's few small holes where it was filled up with matrix and there's no nubs where the arches would have broke off. Thanks!
