Hey all,

Recently came across a few interesting looking rocks/possible fossils while on a hike in New Paltz. Can anyone help me identify?

The second photo is suggestive but hard to make out.  Can you take a photo with the light a bit from the side so it produces some shadowing that may make the features stand out better?

What Fossildude19 has outlined are impressions of various flatly pressed fossils. Maybe you'll find some steinkerns if you break up some of this type of rock at this level.
