butchndad
Hello found this in Big Brook this weekend. The top makes me hopeful that it’s not a rock. Sorry that I only have an old iphoneiPhone
Misha
Welcome to the forum! It looks like a bone to me but I can't say much more as I am not too familiar with fossils from that location and age. @The Jersey Devil is more familiar with these fossils and may be able to help. More photos would also be helpful with better focus, the other tip may also hold clues as to what this bone is from.
GeschWhat
Welcome to the forum! It looks like bone or maybe a claw, but not my area of expertise. Lori www.areallycrappystory.com/fossils www.facebook.com/fossilpoo
Mark Kmiecik
It's not a claw. A claw with no curvature would be useless for climbing, holding prey or traction. 1 Mark. Fossil hunting is easy -- they don't run away when you shoot at them!
The Jersey Devil
Could you please make some better pics? “You must take your opponent into a deep dark forest where 2+2=5, and the path leading out is only wide enough for one.” ― Mikhail Tal
Fossildude19
This looks like a modern hoof core, to me. 2 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." I wonder how a Pleistocene one would look like “You must take your opponent into a deep dark forest where 2+2=5, and the path leading out is only wide enough for one.” ― Mikhail Tal

Plax
could be a Pleistocene fossil. Plenty of Pleistocene fossils have been found in big Brook.
