Yep thats what I do with a good portion of my bones.  Might soften the matrix with solvent.

Suggestions made above look fine. Work slowly some pieces might require consolidation if fragile.

Hi,

I was wondering if I can use nail polish remover with acetone for the bone?

Nail polish remover is mostly acetone.  Who knows what the other stuff in there is besides perfumes.  No museum would do that, but it will work.

Depends on how much acetone is in your remover, they can be all over the place.  Pint of acetone in walmart is around $5

Just something to help, but also a tooth brush with some vinegar on it works for some smaller dirt pieces on the bone.
