Fossildude19
Looks like a bison skull. Not sure if it is recent (but really old) or fossilized. You might consider taking measurments horn tip to horn tip. 2 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." facehugger
@Harry Pristis, if I recall, always seems very informative on bison and Pleistocene mammals. Been meaning to show him a mandible I found recently.
JohnJ
@Eggman Please note that you only need to post the skull in one topic on the Forum. That said, check out this PDF. You may get some educated or wild guesses elsewhere, but a confident ID is based on the measurements and distinguishing characteristics. You have an undistorted view that is an advantage over views from photos. 2 The human mind has the ability to believe anything is true. - JJ

Creek - Don
I hope this past discussion helps. This maybe either Bison Bison or Bison Antiqus. @Harry Pristis added horn size chart in the discussion.

Uncle Siphuncle
I agree that it is best to use measurements to determine B. bison vs. antiquus. Great find. Grüße, Daniel A. Wöhr aus Südtexas "To the motivated go the spoils."
