Pennsylvanian wood?

Found something I haven't seen before while hunting in Pennsylvanian limestone a couple weeks ago. I feel like this is poorly preserved plant material but there are not many discernible features, even under magnification. Any thoughts?

Is that from the LaSalle Limestone? I found a very similar piece last year, but I have not been able to figure out what it was. It does have a woody texture, but no sign of any carbon remnants- there seems to be a different kind of mineral associated with it though. Since it does not look like any Pennsylvanian wood I've seen I wonder if it is some kind of aquatic plant? Here is the best imprint on the one I have.

@deutscheben Yep it’s from the LaSalle Limestone. I was just looking at your piece before posting this thread, it is similar. A paper mentions that specimens of “petrified wood” have been found but there are no photos.
