emc2
I found a mark of suspected skin in the deepest part of the large footprint of a suspected dinosaur? I found very little data on the toe skin marks on the Internet. Some people know what the skin texture is on the toes of large theropod dinosaurs?
LordTrilobite
Yes, foot impressions do sometimes also preserve the impressions of scales on the soles of the foot. Is this a positive print? It looks like it might be skin impression but I'm not seeing the shape of a foot. Or are these just closeups? This footprint is raised, I don’t know if it should be called positive or negative. The texture of the skin above is a close-up, taken from the most prominent place of the footprint, which is where I painted the red block in the photo. Rockwood
It might be helpful to remember that theropods are still around.
