PrehistoricWonders
Hi all, I found this tooth in a Monmouth County stream and was wondering what type of shark it is? I would have thought cretalamna appendiculata, but it has bourlette, and I don’t know any shark teeth in the navesink formation that have bourlette. It is about 3/5 of an inch. @The Jersey Devil @Trevor @Darktooth. TIA
Indagator
Looks like a cretalamna to me.
Darktooth
To my eye it looks like a Archaeolamna kopingengus. I am not sure that it has a real bourette. Can you take a good clear close-up pic? 1 I like Trilo-butts and I cannot lie.

The Jersey Devil
It is a Cretalamna. Many shark teeth have a bourlette. Megs just have a much more exaggerated one. 1 “You must take your opponent into a deep dark forest where 2+2=5, and the path leading out is only wide enough for one.” ― Mikhail Tal
