DPS Ammonite
It is a park, the Jean and Ric Edelman Fossil Park. The Edelmans gave 25 million dollars to build a Museum and visitors center. Thank you Edelmans! https://www.rowan.edu/fossils/ Edited July 1, 2020 by DPS Ammonite 3 My goal is to leave no stone or fossil unturned. There used to be a place people collected fossil fish that ended up being a Home Depot or Walmart. I never got there but other TFF members have fossils from there. Kinda like the Medieval Times site in that a famous spot got developed and is now gone.

Hmm I don’t think I’ve ever seen whole fish found in NJ. Or was this in another state? “You must take your opponent into a deep dark forest where 2+2=5, and the path leading out is only wide enough for one.” ― Mikhail Tal

I think whole fish have been found in the Newark supergroup historically, but with the rapid development of the eastern seaboard tons of those sites got bulldozed over, quarries got filled in, etc.

LINK Yeah I always target the New Jersey cretaceous whenever I collect so I forget about the existence of the older upstate NJ material.
