Fairly slim pickings today but we picked these up and don’t see so many of them. Any ideas on the bivalve?

Is the ammonite Pleuroceras Solare ?

Thanks for looking

Nice shells. :)

Distinguishing separate species is not something I'm good at with ammonites and Pleuroceras is tricky - try Andy's excellent blog, he'd be one of the best people to identify it. P. hawskerense is the classic one from there.

The bivalve looks like Pholadomya ambigua (J. Sowerby) which would be from the same zone as the ammonite (Spinatum.)

Thank you @TqB, my guess at the ammonite was merely based on a pyrite one in my daughter’s collection looking a bit similar.

Good enough for a genus anyway! Is your daughter's a German specimen?
