Could this contain fossils possibly or is there just crystals in it?

I might be wrong, but I believe that this rock is sandstone (if it isn’t please correct me) and that the spots in it are feldspar. I was wondering why there is such an odd placement of the feldspar(if it is feldspar) and it made me wonder if there could be fossils in it. I was planning on putting it in a rock tumbler to see if it would turn out good, but if there are fossils in it, wouldn’t it be better to work on the rock and uncover them instead of just polishing the whole rock. If you think that there could be fossils contained in it, what could it possibly be? If not, no worries I’ll probably just toss it in my rock tumbler and see what happens to it lol. (Btw it was found on cannon beach in Oregon about a year ago for context)

The photos are a bit too dark for me to make out.

But, I think the presence of feldspar would rule out fossils as that would make it a metamorphic rock, not sedimentary.

I just added some more pictures to the original post to make the crystals in it easier to see. They are a whitish yellowish color. I’m also not sure about the feldspar part, maybe calcite? I’m a very amateur at geology, so I have no idea what the crystals actually are.

Hate to be a pain. If you believe that I have a bridge . . .

Could we maybe add the possibility that it is a fossil that just can't be identified as a fossil because it has lost too much information to being metamorphosed ?

Someone somewhere else had told me that the rock was basalt and that the crystals were plagioclase feldspar crystals. I just wasn’t sure if it actually was or not because I tried looking up that type of feldspar and it didn’t really look like the crystals in the rock color-wise, but I could just be completely wrong. Also i felt like the rock looked more like sandstone but I could also be completely wrong on that too lol.

Also if it is just felspar and basalt, would it polish good? Because I was planning on putting it in my rock tumbler soon.

Hard to tell from pictures.

It all depends on the porosity and grain of the rock.

Give it a try and good luck.
